Who Dares . . . What . . .
Who Dares . . . What . . .

If the above walls could talk, they’d have a very difficult time. I mean they’d never be able to stop laughing long enough to put more than two words together. And that would be very sad because then you’d never know the tale of how I Baked Across the Pond as and with a Daring Baker!

And Ilva catch our new aprons from one of our many shopping extravaganzas! You can expect to see them again.

Now, we poked holes, we double twirled and

snaked rolled & sealed the ends

to make our bagels.
Of course, we also had to hang them on our ears (known as a Helga Bagel) and put them on our heads like hats and tried to hang one on a nose.

And we enjoyed our bagels.

Thanks to Lis (LaMiaCucina) and Cream Puffs (CreamPuffsInVience) for founding this Daring Bakers group. Who are all the other Daring Bakers and how did they manage the June Bagel Challenge? For list and links check here.
And many Thanks to Jenny (AllThingsEdible) and Freya (WritingAtTheKitchenTable) for hosting and supporting this fabulous challenge! You will find the recipe and a round-up on both of their sites. And while probably not all of the above were taken by Sue (SueCooksWild), she should get a big part of the credit for many of the photos and laughs!
When I got back to Dallas, I just had to make another batch.

And what did I learn this time around from the Daring Bakers? It’s good to follow a recipe even when you think you might know better. Next time one of my toppings will be Maldon Salt flakes!
No Houston we don’t have a problem. We have bagels and new friends! Thanks Again Karen!
